While visiting the Oki Islands in Japan, I was lucky enough to come across one of the very few sandhill cranes that migrate here each year, a rare encounter that felt almost impossible to plan. I managed to capture a quiet moment as it moved gracefully across the landscape, its presence calm yet commanding. That fleeting, unexpected meeting made this shot particularly special.
