I’m incredibly proud to announce the release of my first book, Lion Heart, a personal account of one of the most challenging experiences of my life: the ten-month mission to rescue five lions from war-torn Ukraine.
What began as a desperate call for help became an international rescue effort filled with uncertainty, risk, and determination. While the mission captured global attention, Lion Heart shares the real story behind the headlines, the difficult decisions, emotional moments, and unwavering belief that these animals deserved a second chance.

The book also explores my journey into conservation. I grew up at Hertfordshire Zoo, surrounded by lions and tigers, where caring for animals was simply part of everyday life. From hand-rearing a lion cub with my brothers to becoming Managing Director of The Big Cat Sanctuary before turning 30, my path has always been shaped by a deep responsibility to protect wildlife.
Many people may also know me from CBBC’s One Zoo Three, where I work alongside my brothers to bring conservation stories to new audiences around the world.
Lion Heart isn’t just about rescuing lions, it’s about family, resilience, and the reality of conservation work behind the scenes. Above all, it’s a story about hope.

Pre-order today via Waterstones for a chance to win an overnight lodge stay, plus a private tour and lunch with me at The Big Cat Sanctuary.
